Allocate and managing staff resources according to changing need
Motivating and effectively managing members of the team
Communicate effectively with production/quality personnel to ensure smooth transition of finished goods from production floor to warehouse/loading dock
Maintain safe working practices, GMP, Hygiene standard
Maintain personal and staff focus on 5S and sanitation, and eliminating waste of all types
Manage RF gun fleet (handoffs at shift changes, proper battery maintenance, etc)
Act as fill-in for shipping leadership team members. Set-up rush shipments. Oversee loading of pick-ups
Ensure disciplined culture through active oversight of break schedule, cell phone use, etc.
Act as a conduit for effective communication between shifts.
Monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods
Managing waste/efficiency program for storage, pallets, stock rotation
Analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions
Coordination cycle counts and stock audits
Ensuring effective maintenance of equipment including, Scissor Lifts, LGVs and fork lift truck
Managing staff training issues
Management of movement of materials in and out of satellite warehouses
Act as backup for Warehouse Manager during absence or vacancy
Knowledge of ERP systems (with preference on SAP)
Knowledge of all aspects of warehouse and distribution environments, including safety and OSHA regulations.
Understanding & use of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and associated systems.
Awareness of Six Sigma/LEAN principles, preferably in a distribution/warehouse/logistics center environment.
Ability to identify problems and develop resolutions.
Experience & knowledge of scheduling & pull systems (Kanban, sequence management, packaging, supermarket, product flow, etc.).
Ability to apply resourcefulness and creativity to solve space problems and department activities.
Developed verbal and written communication skills suitable for a business setting
