Responsible for the completion of scheduled mold/product changes in the Molding department. Changes tools on mold assigned, as required, for scheduled product change. Fits new (replacement) tools as required for same. Performs routine maintenance of molds such as cleaning, stoning, repair of broken bolts, replacement/fitting or worn/broken mold tooling and components. Maintains complete working sets of tooling in inventory by polishing etc and replacement from tool crib as required. The above description covers the most significant duties performed, but does not exclude other related work assignments not mentioned.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience is preferred. Must have own tools and able to read blueprints, electrical and mechanical drawings.
