- Read job pocket orders in English
- Identify product and materials required from Set-up Sheet
- includes correct paper type, weight, lot number, width, pounds required for job, etc.
- accurate ink colors
- correct former size, gear size, cylinders, etc.
- waxes, seam glue
- specific carton number required for packing, proper labeling of cartons and palette layout
- Setup production lines efficiently and timely as required by supervision
- Inspect product quality
- size, print, quantities, etc.
- Maintain machine speed to level required by supervision
- Keep accurate reports
- includes run times, quantity produced and other reports requested by supervision
- Oversee and maintain a safe working environment on production lines
- must be alert to safety hazards for self and other employees
- Work in team environment
- Relieve other positions as needed
- Any other job duties as assigned
High School Diploma preferred, but not required.
TWO TO THREE YEARS OF MACHINE OPERATION/SETUP EXPERIENCE WITH HAND TOOLS.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide simple numbers (100 s and 1000 s). Perform these operations using American and Metric units of measurement.
Must possess mechanical aptitude sufficient to setup and troubleshoot machine problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Good verbal and written English skills.
Must be able to work with limited supervision while utilizing other team members and team leader to answer basic questions. Production Supervision is available for more complex questions and problems.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
Knowledge in use of various hand tools assigned and authorized by supervision, including tape measure, gear calculations tables, wrenches, etc.
Must use overhead and floor hoist to move large paper rolls and cylinders.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods on concrete floors (7-9 hours a day). The employee is frequently required to use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and climb or balance. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, the ability to adjust focus and excellent color vision.
An employee must regularly lift/move up to 20 lbs., frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to vibrations, hot liquids, and frequently exposed heavy weights.
No long sleeve shirts or loose clothing may be worn. In addition, no jewelry of any kind may be worn. This is a steel-toed shoe/boot required position. Safety glasses are required during cleaning operations or other duties as directed by supervision.
The noise level on a daily basis is loud with mandatory hearing protection required.
