Bonding Insert Prep Operator

This entry level position accomplishes the bonding portions of a customer s part order in close collaboration with other team members. The Bonding Operator I will learn and perform all basic bonding procedures and methods, as well as bond the simpler and less complex jobs. This will include degreasing, abrading, and the application of bond to inserts.

Examine and measure completed materials or products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring devices such as tape measures, gauges, or calipers.

8)Assist with R&D projects in Bonding Department as needed.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent experience. 1-3 years experience in polyurethane or similar manufacturing environment experience desired. High mechanical aptitude required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employee policies and procedures, technical reports and customer specifications. Ability to communicate effectively with employees in English at all levels of the organization. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their relevant applications.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
