Position Description: Customer Account Representative

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Answering customer calls and providing exceptional service to customers (internal & external)
  • Entering customer orders received via phone, fax, mail or email into our ERP system
  • Tracking customer s orders and following up through delivery when necessary
  • Expediting emergency requests
  • Proactively researching and solving customer issues to provide 100% satisfaction
  • Assisting in various special assignments, including report distribution and inventory and warehouse management
  • Performing database and spreadsheet maintenance
  • Generating clear, consistent communications to internal and external team members regarding status and requirements of all programs
  • Running periodic bulk order uploads along with processing individual orders
  • Working as a team member with all IMS Account Management, Customer Service, Production, and Finance staff

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of customer service or call center experience
  • Excellent organization, writing, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities under tight timelines
  • Capacity to handle a variety of tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and requests
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience with AS400 or similar database systems would be beneficial
